Providing a safe, welcoming space for young people to grow and develop.

We believe in helping young people grow in confidence, broaden their horizons and become more involved in their local community.

We do this by providing youth-lead spaces for young people and creating opportunities for personal and social development, through social interaction, creative arts, sports and youth-led initiatives.

All young people must be registered members to attend YMCA activities. 

To get registered, call into the centre, chat to a staff member about what is on offer & complete a Registration Form!

We have programmes on offer for young people aged 9-18. 

For more specific programme information please make contact.

We have a wide range of activities on offer in the centre, from creative arts, crafts, indoor team games and chill out spaces. As well as group work, cookery and digital media.

Our projects are youth led and change to meet the evolving personal and social needs of young people. 

An example of a project includes Podcast Project ‘Let’s Talk About Y’, giving space for the voices of young people to be heard on issues that are important to them.

Other projects include life skills, health & wellbeing, community relations, leadership and peer mentoring and many more.

Yes. 

There is a £5 registration fee that is paid annually. 

There is nightly 50p subs collected at sign in for  sessions only. 

We provide a small tuck shop during Youth Club Drop In.

Our Youth Leadership programme includes accredited OCN qualifications, peer mentoring and youth volunteering opportunities.

ENABLE Youth Project

The Enable Youth Project works in partnership Craigavon Senior High School and Portadown YMCA to support young people’s personal and social development  in a non-formal education setting.

Independent Living Programme

ILPworks with young people with learning disabilities who have been referred to us through the SHSCT Children’s Disability team our aim is that they will develop skills and knowledge to assist them to be more independent.

Learn and develop skills while positively impacting the lives of young people and the local community.
